May 4 (SeeNews) - Serbian blue-chip household appliance maker Alfa Plam [BEL:ALFA] has applied with the Belgrade Stock Exchange for the cancellation of 14,884 own shares, it said on Wednesday.
The shares will be excluded from the Open Market segment of the stock exchange, Alfa Plam said in a bourse filing.
After the withdrawal and cancellation of the shares Alfa Plam will have 142,448 shares listed on the Open Market segment of the Belgrade Stock Exchange.
As of May 4, Alfa Plam holds 14,884 own shares or 9.46% of its capital. In January 2020, Alfa Plam said it plans to buy back a total of 15,733 own shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, representing up to 10% of its share capital, in order to prevent distortions in the securities market and damage to the company.
The company is one of 11 members of the BELEX15 blue-chip index of the Belgrade bourse. It has a free-float factor (FFc) of 13.79%, which accounts for 1.92% of the total capitalisation of the index.
