March 11 (SeeNews) - Serbian blue-chip household appliances manufacturer Alfa Plam [BEL:ALFA] has repurchased 987 own shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, it said on Wednesday.
As of March 10, Alfa Plam held 3,376 own shares, or 2.15% of its capital, the company said in a bourse filing.
In January, Alfa Plam said it plans to buy back a total of 15,733 own shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, representing up to 10% of its share capital, in order to prevent distortions in the securities market and damage to the company.
The company is one of ten members of the BELEX15 blue-chip index of the Belgrade bourse. It has a free-float factor (FFc) of 23.25%, which accounts for 3.46% of the total capitalisation of the index.
On Tuesday, the company's shares closed flat on the Belgrade Stock Exchange as 14 of its shares changed hands in a turnover of 371,000 dinars ($3,578/3,153 euro).
