June 2 (SeeNews) - Serbian blue-chip household appliances manufacturer Alfa Plam [BEL:ALFA] has repurchased 179 own shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, it said on Tuesday.
As of May 28, Alfa Plam held 3,882 own shares, or 2.47% of its capital, the company said in a bourse filing.
In January, Alfa Plam said it plans to buy back a total of 15,733 own shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, representing up to 10% of its share capital, in order to prevent distortions in the securities market and damage to the company.
The company is one of ten members of the BELEX15 blue-chip index of the Belgrade bourse. It has a free-float factor (FFc) of 23.25%, which accounts for 4.51% of the total capitalisation of the index.
Alfa Plam closed at 24,817 dinars ($234.9/211.2 euro) on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Monday, down 0.10%.
