June 18 (SeeNews) - The Serbian unit of Austria's Erste Bank said it plans to increase its capital via a new share issue.
The Novi Sad-based bank is calling an extraordinary shareholders' meeting for June 28 to decide on issuing new ordinary shares, among other topics, the lender said in a filing to the Belgrade bourse on Monday.
It gave no further details on the planned capital hike.
Vienna-based Erste Group controls a 74% stake in the Serbian bank, while the remaining 26% is owned by Graz-based Steiermarkische Bank und Sparkassen.
