January 14 (SeeNews) - Trading in the shares of Serbian oil company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated over three quarters of Monday's turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, as share indices dropped, bourse data showed.
A total of 10,546 of NIS' shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 7.2 million dinars. NIS shares closed 0.15% lower at 685 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, closed 1.28% lower at 693.40 points on Monday.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, dropped 0.63% to 1,509.70 points.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse decreased to 9.3 million dinars ($90,126/78,533 euro) on Monday from 24.6 million dinars on Friday, as 110 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the Belgrade Stock Exchange resulted in a turnover of 158,680 dinars.
There was no trading in bonds on Monday.
