November 14 (SeeNews) - Serbia has handled a record-high 1,500 cruise ship calls from January 1 to November 4 this year, the country's Port Governance Agency said.
The number of cruise ships handled at Serbian river ports rose by 30% on the year in the period under review, the Port Governance Agency said in a statement last week.
The international passenger port in Belgrade has been the most attractive for foreign tourists so far. More than 100,000 passengers are expected to be serviced at Serbia's capital in 2019, the agency said.
Novi Sad, Donji Milanovac and Golubac ports followed Belgrade in terms of passenger cruise ship traffic.
