July 30 (SeeNews) - Serbian state-owned insurer Dunav Osiguranje [BEL:DNOS] said on Monday its profit rose to 1.537 billion dinars ($15.2 million/13 million euro) in 2017 from 1.011 billion dinars in the previous year.
The insurer's premium income rose 9.1% to 22.9 billion dinars in 2017, while pre-tax profit increased to 1.7 million dinars, up 36.1%, Dunav Osiguranje said in a filing with the Belgrade Stock Exchange.
The premium income from life insurance came in at 1.6 million dinars, up 14.5% year-on-year, and non-life insurance premium income rose 8.2% to 24.7 billion dinars.
Operating costs grew by 11.1% to 15.5 billion dinars, Dunav Osiguranje's balance sheet for 2017 showed.
