BELGRADE (Serbia), May 15 (SeeNews) – Serbian insurer Dunav Osiguranje [BEL:DNOS] has said it will pay a gross dividend of 128.34 dinars ($1.30/1.09 euro) per share on 2017 earnings.
The insurer paid a gross dividend of 101.87 dinars per share for 2016.
The total dividend payout on 2017 earnings will stand at 1.127 billion dinars, the company said in a bourse filing on Monday.
The company will use the 23.8 million dinars profit from life insurance activities to cover accumulated loss in the segment from previous years, Dunav Osiguranje said.
Dunav Osiguranje's board of directors approved the dividend payout during a meeting on April 26.
The net profit of Dunav Osiguranje rose by 28.2% in 2017 to 1.15 billion dinars.
The Serbian state controlled 94.09% of the capital of Dunav Osiguranje at the end of December.
