December 23 (SeeNews) - Serbia's financial and corporate sectors expect inflation to stand within the 1.5%-4.5% target band in the short and medium term, the country's central bank, NBS, said.
One-year-ahead inflation expectations of the finance sector stood at 2.0% and of the corporate sector amounted to 1.6%, NBS said in its monthly inflation Expectations Survey for November.
In November, one-year ahead inflation expectations of households came in at 5.0%, while the short-term forecast of trade unions was 3.0%.
Looking two years ahead, the finance sector expects 2.5% inflation, while the corporate sector envisages 1.9%, NBS said.
Earlier this month, Serbia's central bank decided to keep its key repo rate unchanged at 2.25%.
Serbia's average consumer prices rose by 1.5% year-on-year in November, after growing by 1.0% in October, official statistics show.
