BELGRADE (Serbia), June 1 (SeeNews) – The ratio of non-performing loans (NPL) in the corporate lending segment of Serbia's banking sector stood at 3.1% at the end of March, the central bank said.
The share of corporate NPLs was the same as at the end of 2020, the central bank, NBS, said in a first-quarter credit activity report on Monday.
The NPL ratio of loans to individuals went up by 0.4 of a percentage point to 4.1% at the end of March.
The central bank started regular monitoring of NPLs in 2008. After a temporary decrease in the second half of 2012, NPLs rose again in 2013 and continued to grow in 2014 and the first quarter of 2015. At the end of April 2015, NPLs accounted for 23% of total loans.
