December 14 (SeeNews) - Egypt has invited the Serbian government to start talks for the export of beef to the African country, agriculture minister Branislav Nedimovic said.
"I have received an invitation from the Egyptian agriculture minister to negotiate on the exports of beef," Nedimovic said in a video file posted on the website of news agency Tanjug on Thursday.

In October, Nedimovic said Serbia hopes to resume wheat exports to Egypt by January 2019 after a 30-year pause. Serbia was put on the list of potential exporters of wheat to Egypt some weeks ago and a delegation of experts from the African country is expected to carry out a final technical review of its storage capacity in November.
Nedimovic said last week Turkey plans to increase the quota for beef imports from Serbia by 40% as of next year to 35 million euro ($39.8 million) from 25 million euro in 2018.
