July 3 (SeeNews) - Serbia's government plans to start an overhaul of the Novi Pazar-Tutin road in the country's southern part in September, infrastructure minister Zorana Mihajlovic said.
The government is also nearing completion of the project documentation for the overhaul of the Prijepolje-Sjenica, Raska-Novi Pazar and Ivanjica-Sjenica roads in southern Serbia, Mihajlovic said on Tuesday, according to a press release issued by the infrastructure ministry.
In October, the government signed a 24 million euro ($27.1 million) contract for the overhaul of the Novi Pazar-Tutin road with Turkish civil engineering company Tasyapi. The contractor will draft the design and regulation projects and will also carry out the civil engineering works on the overhaul of the 20.5 km-long road.
In May, the government said it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Tasyapi for cooperation in road infrastructure projects.
