BELGRADE (Serbia), June 7 (SeeNews) – Serbia will open two more chapters in its membership negotiations with the European Union later this month, European integration minister, Jadranka Joksimovic, has said.
Joksimovic said on Tuesday that EU enlargement commissioner Johannes Hahn had confirmed that two chapters in Serbia's accession talks would be opened during an intergovernmental conference in Luxembourg on June 20, according to a government press release.
Serbia will start talks on Chapter 7 - Intellectual Property Law, and Chapter 29 - Customs Union, Joksimovic said.
In an interview for European Western Balkans portal published in April, Joksimovic said Serbia is in the final phase of developing its negotiating position on Chapter 6 - Company Law, Chapter 30 - External Relations and Chapter 33 - Financial & Budgetary Provisions.
Belgrade has so far started talks on eight out of the 35 chapters of EU law and has closed negotiations on two, namely Chapter 25 - Science & Research and Chapter 26 - Education & Culture.
