January 11 (SeeNews) - Serbia plans on March 31 to open for traffic a 20 km motorway section between Belgrade and Surcin, President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday.
The new section will halve to one hour travel time from Belgrade to Cacak, in western Serbia, Vucic said in a press release published by his office.
The section will help ease congestion by redirecting transit traffic to the bypass around the city centre while also providing a direct link to Zagreb and Nis, in the south of the country.
