BELGRADE (Serbia), June 2 (SeeNews) – Serbia's government plans to make infrastructure investments worth 9 billion euro ($10 billion) by 2025, infrastructure minister Zorana Mihajlovic has said.
"Serbia is a politically stable country, with a stable budget that allows us to implement large infrastructure projects in which 9 billion euro will be invested under the 2020-2025 investment plan," Mihajlovic said in a statement last week.
The government aims to build 500 km of motorways in the five-year period, Mihajlovic said.
"We are currently building 250 km of motorways, and we will invest 1 billion euro in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of 5,000 local and regional roads," she added.
In December, prime minister Ana Brnabic said the government plans to invest 14 billion euro to stimulate economic growth by 2025.
