June 12 (SeeNews) - Serbia's infrastructure ministry has said it will start installing five electric vehicle charging stations along Corridor X route in the country next month.
The first two electric vehicle charging stations will be installed at the Sid and Presevo toll booths, at the borders with Croatia and Macedonia, respectively, the infrastructure ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
The other three stations will be installed at the Dimitrovgrad and Subotica Jug toll booths, near the borders with Bulgaria and Hungary, respectively, and at the Bubanj Potok section of the Belgrade bypass road.
The stations will offer free internet and will allow the charging of three electric vehicles simultaneously.
Corridor X will connect Salzburg in Austria to the Greek port of Thessaloniki, passing through Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Macedonia. In Serbia, the project includes the construction of the Belgrade bypass motorway, as well as two separate sections, linking Nis to Merdare and to the border with Bulgaria.
