March 31 (SeeNews) - Serbia’s infrastructure minister Goran Vesic said it will complete by the end of this year the construcion of a motorway section linking its western towns of Kuzmin and Sremska Raca, which is part of a corridor that will connect Serbia's capital Belgrade and Bosnia and Herzegovina's capital Sarajevo.
The project documentation for the construction of the Pozega-Kotroman section of the motorway has been completed and work is expected to begin next year, Vesic was quoted as saying in a press release on Thursday.
Serbia started work on the 225 million euro 18-km section connecting Kuzmin and Sremska Raca in March 2022.
The 54.48-kilometre dual carriageway strip connecting Ruma with the city of Loznica, on the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina, is expected to be finished by the end of 2024.
