September 22 (SeeNews) - Serbia expects China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) to complete the construction of a motorway section linking Preljina to Pozega, in central Serbia, by the end of 2021, infrastructure minister Tomislav Momirovic said on Wednesday.
"We aim to complete the section by the end of 2021," Momirovic said in a video file posted on the website of news agency Tanjug.
CCCC has already laid the first asphalt layer on the Preljina-Pozega section in the area of Prijevor and has completed the breakthrough of the Trbusani tunnel, Momirovic said.
The Preljina-Pozega section is part of Corridor XI - a motorway corridor linking Italy's Bari to Romania's Bucharest via Montenegro's port of Bar and Serbia's Belgrade. Corridor X will connect Austria's Salzburg to the Greek Aegean port of Thessaloniki, passing through Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and North Macedonia.
