May 23 (SeeNews) - Serbia has signed an agreement with Saudi Arabia to establish a business council with the aim of strengthening bilateral economic cooperation, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce said.
“Serbian companies are very interested in cooperation with Saudi Arabian partners. The Chamber of Commerce will therefore initiate the opening of an office in Saudi Arabia, and in the coming period we will also organize B2B meetings between Saudi and Serbian businessmen,” the president of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Marko Cadez, said in a statement on Monday.
“We want to open the Saudi market for our companies to invest in the construction of logistics centres in that country, to increase exports, as well as for businessmen of that country to invest in the development of our agriculture and spa tourism,” added Cadez.
According to data from the Serbia's statistical office, trade trurnover with Saudi Arabia amounted to $117.2 million (108.5 million euro) million last year.
