December 7 (SeeNews) - Serbia's budget recorded a deficit of 97.8 billion dinars ($937.6 million/831.8 million euro) in the first ten months of 2021, compared to a deficit of 347.6 billion dinars in the like period of 2020, official figures show.
Serbia recorded a primary budget surplus of 4.3 billion dinars, versus a 257.2 billion dinars primary budget deficit in January-October 2020, according to data published on the website of the finance ministry.
Total budget revenues went up by a real 15.5% on the year to 1.191 trillion dinars in the period under review, while expenditure went down 6.5% to 1.289 trillion dinars.
Tax revenues went up by a real 16.7% to 1.056 trillion dinars, non-tax revenues grew 2.9% to 123 billion dinars, and grants increased to 12.3 billion dinars from 6.8 billion dinars.
On the expenditure side, current expenditure fell by a real 14.8% to 1.047 trillion dinars, while capital expenditure went up to 234.9 billion dinars from 120.8 billion dinars in January-October 2020.
Serbia's budget balance showed a deficit of 459.1 billion dinars in 2020, compared to a surplus of 12.8 billion dinars in the previous year.
