November 5 (SeeNews) - Serbia's budget recorded a deficit of 93.0 billion dinars ($920.8 million/790.7 million euro) in the first nine months of 2021, compared to a deficit of 364.2 billion dinars in the like period of 2020, official figures show.
Serbia recorded a primary budget surplus of 3.8 billion dinars, versus a 278.5 billion dinars primary budget deficit in January-September 2020, according to data published on the website of the finance ministry.
Total budget revenues went up by a real 17% on the year to 1.069 trillion dinars in the period under review, while expenditure went down 9.1% to 1.163 trillion dinars.
Tax revenues went up by a real 17.8% to 947.3 billion dinars, non-tax revenues grew 7.5% to 103.9 billion dinars, and grants increased to 10.3 billion dinars from 6.3 billion dinars.
On the expenditure side, current expenditure fell by a real 18.2% to 934.6 billion dinars, while capital expenditure went up to 211.5 billion dinars from 108.1 billion dinars in January-September 2020.
Serbia's budget balance showed a deficit of 459.1 billion dinars in 2020, compared to a surplus of 12.8 billion dinars in the previous year.
