November 20 (SeeNews) - Serbia plans to build 359 wastewater treatment systems worth 5.6 billion euro ($6.2 billion) in the following 20 to 25 years, еnvironment ministеr Goran Trivan said on Wednesday.
Trivan also said that the Serbian environment ministry is working on harmonising the country's legislation to European Union (EU) standards in the water sphere, the ministry said in a press release.
Trivan spoke at the fifth session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Protocol on Water and Health, which is organised by the Serbian ministries of environment and health with the support of the UNECE (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe) and WHO (World Health Organisation).
