Serbia needs 12.7 bln euro to comply with EU climate laws - govt

December 8 (SeeNews) - Serbia will need approximately 12.7 billion euro ($13.4 billion) to meet the main EU directives and regulations on environment and climate change, environment minister Irena Vujovic said.

Serbia will invest more than 12.4 billion euro in the development of infrastructure for wastewater management and drinking water which is already something the state is working on, Vujovic said, as quoted in a government press release on Wednesday.

The costs of implementing the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans have not yet been estimated, Vujovic added.
