- Serbia’s 2010 budget hole will total 107 billion dinars, Finance Minister Diana Dragutinovic said.

- Vienna-based construction firm Alpine has submitted the top-ranked bid of 2.9 billion dinars in a tender for the construction of a 8.67 kilometre bypass in Dimitrovgrad, in east Serbia, which will provide a link to the border with Bulgaria. The project will be financed under a 275.2 million euro loan extended to Serbia by the World Bank for Corridor X. The tender winner will be named over the next two months.

- Serbian food producer Florida bel, part of Delta Holding, has signed a 12-month contract for the packaging of the products of Croatian food, beverage and drug maker Podravka which will then be sold under the Podravka brand name in Croatia and in neighbouring countries. Florida bel’s exports are estimated at more than 2.0 million euro in 2009 while investment is expected to reach 1.0 million euro in 2010.
