May 10 (SeeNews) - Serbia has started the implementation of a project for the construction of a 30 million euro ($32.8 million) bypass road in the western city of Uzice, the local authorities said on Wednesday.
The government has begun the preparation of technical documentation for the project, the Uzice authorities said in a statement.
In March, Beijing-based construction company Power Construction Corporation of China, branded as PowerChina, was awarded a 29.8 million euro contract for the construction of the 4.85-kilometre section, which also includes a 252-metre bridge over the Djetinja river.
