November 30 (SeeNews) - The governments of Serbia and Germany signed a protocol on a two-year cooperation programme worth 183.5 million euro ($190 million), the government in Belgrade said.
The protocol will allow for greater bilateral cooperation in sustainable economic development, climate change, environmental and energy protection, good governance and the rule of law, the government in a press release on Tuesday.
The future focus of the German development policy will be on Serbia's accession to the European Union, with an emphasis on cooperation in climate action, German officials said, as quoted by the Serbian government.
Approximately 1,000 German companies are operating in Serbia, employing over 76,000 people, the statement added.
