BELGRADE (Serbia), March 20 (SeeNews) - Serbia has closed all of its border crossings for passenger traffic as of Friday morning to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus disease, the government said.

All road, rail, and air border crossings were closed for passengers at 08:00 CET on Friday and only trucks can enter the country, the government said in a statement.

On March 15, Serbia closed its borders to foreign citizens as part of measures to contain the coronavirus spread. The country's borders were open to Serbian citizens returning from abroad, as well as to diplomats and foreign nationals with a residence permit.

Serbia has confirmed 118 cases of the coronavirus infection so far.
