BELGRADE (Serbia), April 12 (SeeNews) - Serbia will make available to its municipalities 300 million dinars ($2.8 million/2.5 million euro) for energy efficiency projects, the energy ministry said.
Part of the funding will go to enhance the energy efficiency of public buildings, while up to 4.5 million dinars is earmarked for an overhaul of the public lighting system, the ministry said in a statement on Saturday.
"The energy efficiency [...] is crucial for increasing Serbia's energy security, its energy transition, and environmental safety," the statement read.
Municipalities can apply for funding by May 25.
