January 3 (SeeNews) - Greek-based Marinopoulos Group plans to add the Serbian market to the territory of its regional Gap franchise in 2012 with longer-term plans to expand its presence in Croatia, Zagreb-based media reported on Monday.
Marinopoulos Group is currently the Gap franchisee for Greece, Cyprus, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and will add Serbia next year, news daily Poslovni Dnevnik (www.poslovni.hr) reported, quoting Aleksandar Rodic from the local K&K agency, which is in charge of Gap's marketing in Croatia.
“The long-term plan is to add three or four stores [in Croatia], but these are plans for the next year or two. We may open two more stores in Zagreb, and then expand to Rijeka or Split,” Poslovni reported, quoting Daria Kuljic, manager of the Gap store in Zagreb.
Marinopoulos Group currently has only one Gap store in Croatia which was opened in late 2010.
