February 7 (SeeNews) - Mobile messaging company Viber said on Wednesday it has entered into a partnership with software developer Dimelo, aiming to improve user experience through Dimelo's digital customer support platform.
Viber's Bulgaria-based office for Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) also manages the markets of Serbia, Croatia, Greece and Hungary – while being active on the markets of Slovenia, Bosnia and Montenegro and in charge of the remaining countries of the CEE region.
"Companies with customers keen on using Viber will now be able to connect the messaging app directly to the Dimelo platform so their customer care agents could reply incoming messages alongside other digital channels (email, live chat, social media, etc.)," Viber said in a statement.
According to the company, the partnership is extremely beneficial to end consumers who will now be able to reach out to brands on their favorite channels, from anywhere in the world, without having to respect constraining timetables or channels.
"More and more, customers around the world expect to be able to contact companies through the same channels they use in their daily life. This strategic partnership with Dimelo will help us deploy messaging to companies ready to digitalize customer care and be where their customers expect them to be," Cristina Constandache, Viber vice president of global partnerships, said in the statement.
Viber, with a user base of more than 900 million people worldwide, is part of Japan-based electronic commerce and Internet company Rakuten Group.
