LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), February 21 (SeeNews) – The benchmark share index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) fell on Friday, as reinsurer Sava Re [LJE:POSR] posted the biggest losses among the blue-chip companies, bourse data showed.
The SBITOP benchmark index, which tracks the most liquid and capitalised stocks on the LJSE, ended Friday's session 0.22% lower at 979.57 points.
Sava Re's shares lost 1.94%, falling to 20.2 euro.
Chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] posted the biggest gains among the blue chips on Friday, recouping the losses it suffered in the previous session. The company's shares closed 3.88% higher at 201.0 euro. On Thursday, Cinkarna Celje’s shares lost 2.27%, falling to 193.5 euro.
The bourse's total regulated market turnover fell to 854,860 euro ($922,876) on Friday, from 2.0 million euro on Thursday, with insurance company Zavarovalnica Triglav [LJE:ZVTG] contributing 271,940 euro.
