LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), November 20 (SeeNews) – A drop in the share price of Slovenian reinsurer Sava Re [LJE:POSR] dragged down the blue-chip SBITOP index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) on Wednesday, LJSE's data showed.
The SBITOP fell 0.26% to 884.14 points.
Sava Re lost 1.15% to 17.2 euro, after rising 1.75% on Tuesday.
Insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav [LJE:ZVTG] posted the biggest gains among the Slovenian blue-chip companies on Wednesday. Triglav's share price rose 0.62% to 32.5 euro.
Zavarovalnica Triglav said earlier on Wednesday that A.M. Best credit rating agency has affirmed the financial strength rating of 'A' (Excellent) and the long-term issuer credit ratings of 'a' of both the holding company and its subsidiary Pozavarovalnica Triglav, with a stable outlook.
Last week, Zavarovalnica Triglav said that its January-September unaudited pre-tax profit rose 3% on the year to 72.0 million euro ($79.7 million).
Fuel retailer Petrol [LJE:PETG] generated the largest portion of the LJSE's trading turnover on Wednesday – 915,420 euro. The total turnover of the stock exchange fell to 1.73 million euro ($1.9 million) from 23.3 million euro on Tuesday.
