March 16 (SeeNews) - Croatian shipping company Jadroplov [ZSE:JDPL] said on Thursday it took delivery of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanker Vis built by Japan's Sasaki Shipbuilding.
The vessel will make its first commercial voyage on March 17, Jadroplov said in a filing to the Zagreb bourse.
The ship has a capacity of 7,500 cbm and operational speed of 13 knots.
In November, Jadroplov signed a deal with Swiss company Global One Energy to buy it for $23.5 million (22 million euro).
Jadroplov has financed 40% of the cost of the purchase with own funds and has provided the remainder with a loan from state-owned Croatian development bank HBOR.
It is Croatia's second LPG ship, and the seventh vessel in the company’s fleet, after the same shipyard delivered to Jadroplov LPG tanker Marko Marulic in October.
Jadroplov's shares ended flat at 11 euro on Thursday on the Zagreb bourse.
