SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), November 8 (SeeNews) – Sarajevo-based public transport operator GRAS was Bosnia's largest debtor in terms of value added tax owed as of end-October, data from the country's Indirect Taxation Authority reveals.
GRAS' outstanding VAT debt stood at 22.12 million marka ($13.1 million/11.3 million euro) at the end of October and put the company in a clear lead ahead of the remaining 2,707 companies on the list.
In second place is MB Kekerovic, whose owner was last year sentenced to 14 years in jail for tax evasion, money laundering, serious theft and customs fraud. MB Kekerovic owes 11.36 million marka and is closely followed by Djusa, registered as a firm for the disabled, which owes 8.95 million marka.
In fourth place is the Department of Goods Reserves of the Federation entity with a debt of 6.4 million marka.
The data refers to VAT debt accrued from 2006 to end-October 2017.
