December 6 (SeeNews) - Passenger numbers at Sarajevo international airport exceeded 800,000 on December 5, which is a new record, the airport operator said.
This is the first time the airport has served 800,000 passengers in a single calendar year, the operator said in a press release on Monday.
In 2015, passenger traffic at Sarajevo international airport increased by 9% to 773,000.
The airport currently serves 12 airline companies but plans to further boost passenger numbers by introducing new routes next year. It will also launch an investment cycle to expand its capacities, since the existing terminal building can only process one million passengers per year.
