February 22 (SeeNews) - Ryanair said on Wednesday it will launch a route from Plovdiv, Bulgaria's second largest city, to Milan Bergamo at the beginning of October.
The Irish low-cost carrier will operate two flights per week on the route, it said in a statement.
Earlier in February, the company announced it will launch a route from Plovdiv to Brussels, also at the beginning of October.
Ryanair currently operates flights connecting Plovdiv with London Stansted.
Ryanair expanded its operations in Bulgaria last year, adding flights from Sofia to 19 new destinations - Athens, Baden Baden, Barcelona, Berlin, Birmingham, Brussels, Castellon, Cologne, Dublin, Eindhoven, Glasgow, Hamburg, Liverpool, Madrid, Memmingen, Milan, Rome, Stockholm and Treviso.
