April 4 (SeeNews) - Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair started operating direct flights linking Montenegro's capital Podgorica to Italy's Bologna on April 1, the state-owned Montenegrin airport operator Aerodromi Crne Gore said.
The flights will be operated twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, with a 189-seated Boeing 737-800 aircraft, Aerodromi Crne Gore said in a statement earlier this week.
Ryanair also operates flights linking Podgorica airport to Belgium's Brussels Charleroi, Germany's Berlin Schoenefeld, Sweden's Stockholm Skavsta, Poland's Wroclaw and UK's London Stanstead.
The company also plans to launch a route from Barcelona El Prat airport to Podgorica in June.
