SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), October 8 (SeeNews) – Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair is interested in launching flights from Mostar airport in Bosnia, the authorities of the Herzegovina-Neretva canton, where the airport is located, said on Wednesday.
The conditions under which the airline would be willing to establish services from Mostar to other cities will be known shortly, the cantonal authorities said in a statement following a meeting with Ryanair officials.
Herzegovina-Neretva is one of the ten cantons in Bosnia’s Muslim-Croat Federation. The Federation is one of the two autonomous entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other one is the Serb Republic.
Bosnia has two other international airports, in the capital of Sarajevo and in Banja Luka, the administrative center of the Serb Republic.
