BELGRADE (Serbia), December 17 (SeeNews) – Russian company Uraltransmash has proposed to deliver around 100 trams to Serbia, Russian media reported on Tuesday.
The terms of delivery will be quite comfortable for clients which cannot afford to settle the payment in one go, RIA Novosti news agency quoted the director general of Uraltransmash, Dmitriy Semizorov, as saying.
"We held several stages of negotiations with the Serbs; we visited them in Belgrade and they came to us here. Working with them goes in two directions: modernisation of the existing tram fleet - we have already given them such offers, as well as supply of new trams," Semizorov said.
In March, Russia's deputy prime minister Yury Borisov said the Serbian government has expressed interest in the potential acquisition of trams from Uraltransmash, given their low price and good quality.
