December 4 (SeeNews) - Russia's TVEL Fuel Company said on Wednesday that it has signed an agreement to supply fuel to Bulgaria's sole nuclear power plant (NPP) Kozloduy for the period until the end of 2025.
Since 2016, TVEL has been supplying NPP Kozloduy's Unit 6 with a new generation of nuclear fuel, which enabled the unit to start operating at increased thermal capacity of 104%, the Russian company, part of Rosatom, said in a statement.
NPP Kozloduy's two functioning units, of 1,000 MW each, run on fuel made at the Novosibirsk Chemical Concentrates Plant - NZHK, which is part of the TVEL group.
