BELGRADE (Serbia), July 24 (SeeNews) – Russian cybersecurity and anti-virus provider Kaspersky Lab is interested in expanding into the Serbian market, a Serbian government official said.
Kaspersky Lab's managers will soon visit Belgrade to meet government officials as well as representatives of the private sector and universities, in order to study all possibilities of the future company's arrival on the Serbian market, Nenad Popovic, minister without portfolio in charge of innovation, said, as quoted in a statement by the government on Monday.
The entry of Kaspersky Lab on the Serbian market would contribute to the employment in the country, but would also grant access to the Russian know-how in the field of anti-virus cybersecurity technologies, Popovic said after a meeting with representatives of the company in Moscow.
Russian technology company Yandex plans to deliver its smart transport solutions to the Serbian capital Belgrade, Popovic said in February.
