September 29 (SeeNews) - Romanian natural gas producer Romgaz [BSE:SNG] has signed a 987.8-million-lei ($210.8 million/198.6 million euro) gas sale deal with E.ON Energie Romania, a unit of German utility E.ON.
Under the contract, which represents an addendum to a previous gas sale deal, Romgaz will sell natural gas to E.ON between November 1, 2023 and March 31, 2024, Romgaz said in a filing with the Bucharest Stock Exchange on Thursday.
Romgaz is the largest natural gas producer and main supplier in Romania, whose majority shareholder is the Romanian state, with a 70% stake. Its shares are listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, while its global depositary receipts (GDRs) are traded on the London Stock Exchange.
Romgaz shares traded 0.79% higher at 44.75 lei as at 1509 CET on Friday, on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
