BUCHAREST (Romania), October 16 (SeeNews) - Romanian power grid operator Transelectrica [BSE:TEL] said on Wednesday that it has extended the mandate of its interim CEO Claudia-Gina Anastase by two months to December 21.
Transelectrica's supervisory board also extended the mandates of two other interim board members - Andrea-Georgiana Florea and Adrian Savu, and appointed two other provisional members for a period of two months - Virgiliu Ivan and Luca - Nicolae Iacobici, the company said in a bourse filing.
Transelectrica appointed Claudia Gina Anastase as interim CEO in August, dismissing Marius Danut Carasol. The decision came after local media reported that Carasol had allegedly never completed his university studies and faked his engineer university degree. Carasol was appointed CEO of Translectrica at the end of 2018.
The Romanian finance ministry owns some 59% of Transelectrica.
Transelectrica shares traded 0.25% higher at 20 lei ($4.64/4.21 euro) as at 13:45 CET on Wednesday.
