September 22 (SeeNews) - Romania’s TeraPlast [BSE:TRP], the parent company of local construction materials producer TeraPlast Group, said on Friday that within a year 80% of its logistics processes will be digitised, increasing efficiency and reducing delivery time.
"We have seven warehouses and a network of more than 350 distributors, and together with our own sales force, we serve more than 2,000 customers promptly and efficiently. We will continue to expand the digital solutions to be prepared and remain competitive as we now transition into the new era of Industry 4.0," Ovidiu Gurau, commercial director of TeraPlast, said in a press release.
TeraPlast has announced plans to invest 120 million lei ($25.7 million/24.1 million euro) this year, including 84 million lei in the construction of a stretch film factory.
TeraPlast Group is a major polymer processor in Central and Eastern Europe. The group includes parent company TeraPlast, as well as subsidiaries TeraGlass, TeraPlast Recycling, TeraBio Pack and Somplast.
Blue-chip TeraPlast's shares traded 0.4% lower at 0.4965 lei as of 1140 CET on Friday on the main market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
