August 20 (SeeNews) - Romanian flag carrier Tarom will resume flights from Bucharest to Baia Mare, in the country's northwest, starting September 6.
The flight will be operated twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, Tarom said in a press release.
The company suspended flights to Baia Mare, the administrative centre of Maramures County, in 2015. Local Maramures International Airport has been closed for mainteinance and upgrade works since then.
Tarom is currently operating on international and domestic routes with a fleet of 25 aircraft.
In March, the company said it expects to post a slim profit in 2018 following 10 straight years of financial loss.
