June 20 (SeeNews) - Romanian flag carrier Tarom said on Thursday it has named Madalina Daniela Mezei as its new CEO, to replace interim Maresi Caravan.
Mezei has been working at Tarom since 1997, the company said in a statement.
She is graduate of the Academy of Economic Sciences, and has an MBA in European Management, Marketing, Strategy and Finance.
Maresi Caravan was named CEO on June 7 for a short period of time. He replaced Florin Susanu, who resigned in May.
Tarom is operating on international and domestic routes with a fleet of 25 aircraft.
The air carrier's net loss narrowed to 130 million lei ($31 million/ 28 million euro) in 2018 from 170 million lei in the previous year, while turnover rose by 21% to 1.4 billion lei, data from Romania's transport ministry showed.
