May 16 (SeeNews) - Romanian label and packaging printing company Rottaprint said on Monday its exports rose by an annual 5% in 2021.
Rottaprint recorded the highest growth in exports to Germany - 9% year-on-year, the company said in a press release.
"For this year we expect an evolution in our exports similar to this year’s. We have noted our clients’ increased interest in orders for labels, as well as packaging for food products, as observed in previous years, particularly in countries where we have seen most demand for our exports: Germany and Hungary," Rottaprint general director Cristi Nechita-Rotta said.
Rottaprint was founded in 1991 and currently operates two logistics centres in Romania, as well as two international ones - in Germany and Hungary - all staffed by a total of 280 employees.
The company started exporting to 3 new markets since 2021 - Croatia, Latvia, as well as the UK, reaching a total of 13 destinations across Europe and Asia.
Rottaprint booked a 2.8 million lei ($590,000/ 566,200 euro) net profit in 2021, as well as a total turnover of 126.15 million lei, according to data available on the finance ministry's website.
