November 29 (SeeNews) - Romania issued 36,720 building permits for residential projects in the first ten months of 2018, up 3.4% from a year earlier, the national statistics board, INS, said on Thursday.
An increase in the number of construction permits released for residential buildings in the first ten months of the year was reported in all development regions except for Bucharest-Ilfov and western regions, INS data showed.
In October alone, Romania issued 3,705 building permits, down 4.0% from a year earlier. As many as 66.3% of the permits issued in October were for projects located in Romania's rural areas.
INS provided no figure for the value of the projects which were granted permits.
