January 8 (SeeNews) - Romania issued 39,960 building permits for residential projects in the first eleven months of 2018, up 2.8% from a year earlier, the national statistics board, INS, said on Tuesday.
An increase in the number of construction permits released for residential buildings in the first eleven months of the year was reported in all development regions except for Bucharest-Ilfov, Muntenia and south western regions, INS data showed.
In November alone, Romania issued 3,240 building permits, down 4.2% from a year earlier. As many as 66.9% of the permits issued in November were for projects located in Romania's rural areas.
INS provided no figure for the value of the projects which were granted permits.
