October 28 (SeeNews) - Romania issued 30,047 building permits for residential projects in the January-September period, down 1.6% year-on-year, the national statistics board, INS, said on Friday.
A drop in the number of construction permits issued for residential buildings in the nine-month period was reported in all development regions except the West, North-West and Center regions, the INS data showed.
In September alone, Romania issued 4,061 building permits, up 2.3% on the month and 15.9% higher than a year earlier. As many as 57.4% of the permits issued last month were for projects located in Romania's rural areas.
